IMOGEN
We did this shoot for the Hungarian design store last month because we needed some pictures for press purposes. I decided I better use these images shot by Gyorgy Szokolay on my blog not only because I love the photos but because I want to show you all the amazing clothes by different Hungarian designers: like this trench coat from Imogen! Lovely twist on the traditional trench.

AW13 TRENDS
This is the final part of my trends series for AW13.
You can read the rest: here: Glamour | here: Pink | here: Shiny material | here: Tartan
SKIRT/DRESS OVER TROUSERS
This is another one of my favourite AW13 trends. Wear a skirt or rather a dress over your trousers. Try to go for matching at least in colours.
FUR & FUR DETAILS
CARVEN | CELINE | BLUMARINE | ANTONIO BERARDI
FRANCESCO SCOGNAMIGLIO | LANVIN | F. SCOGNAMIGLIO | CHRISTOPHER KANE | EUDON CHOI | PRADA | FR. SCOGNAMIGLIO | DRIES VAN NOTEN
As
you might have seen if you looked at the images from the aw13 shows,
that different types of fur and play with fur on garments was used by
many well and lesser known designers. Celine and Blumarine made a fur dress and Carven and Berardi fur jumpers; but my favourite was the use of fur as trims on clothing. Such
as around the neck, as cuffs, or on the hems of a coat or dress .
FLOOR LENGTH OUTERWEAR
EMILIO DE LA MORENA | ANTONIO BERARDI | BLUMARINE | - | MIU MIU | HAIDER ACKERMANN | ACNE | DAMIR DOMA | VERSACE
Get a super long coat, jacket, waistcoat or cardigan this season. Get it with fur trims, like above, in red as below somewhere or pink as in a previous post. Get it in tartan print to get the grunge look or a very simple one if you are into the sporty/minimal looks.
PUNK
VERSACE | CHEAP & CHIC | ANTHONY VACARELLO | VERSACE | VERSACE | GIVENCHY
Take a punk and put in a room full of sexy clothes: short skirts, tight tops and heels. Imagine the result!
GRUNGE
JUNYA WATANABE | SAINT LAURENT | BCBG | SAINT LAURENT
Started with Saint laurent continued at Zara. wear denim with plaid and into it all the other trends: long coats, fur, red, pink, skirts over trousers and you are good to go.
SPORTSLUXE
THOMAS TAIT | LACOSTE | DKNY | STELLA MCCARTNEY | FELIPE OLIVIERA BAPTISTA | REED KRALOFF | DAMIR DOMA | MIU MIU | GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
A trend that never leaves. This needs no description.

HUNGARIAN DESIGN
I used to work at Browns where I got the position of
merchandising and styling one of their branches while working as a sales assistant. I was responsible for
it during my gap year at Uni. I became very interested in how it really works as I knew that sense of style is not enough to do this job. So instead of learning from a book or from a tutor at Uni I was lucky to have Browns mentors teaching me all the skills, secrets and technical knowledge needed to work as a VM in a multibrand atmosphere. I am forever thankful for that opportunity.
This is why, the beginning of this month, I was invited to work with the Hungarian Design store in London as a fashion assistant.
I helped in creating a fashionable atmosphere in the shop where we received a huge bunch of unedited collections from Hungarian designers. Unfortunately the previous fact and problematique fixtures of the store space did not allow for a brand by brand merchandising. Anyways the clothes looked really great next to each other at the end so I guess I managed to make a stylish order in the shop out of a stylish mess.
AERON sheer top | ZARA trousers | ZARA trainers
Flowers from Columbia road Flower market that we picked up with Hungarian Design in London Founder, Orsi Ivanyi, who also writes the popular blog: Neverordinary London
Come by to the shop if you are into minimal design and the colours black & beige.
We are open until the end of this month.
IN STORE
Shoes from TISZA CIPO
But you can also find other things from Hungary: decorations, cook book, chocolate & items with traditional Hungarian prints.

ZARA top | PRIMARK jeans | TOPSHOP sandals | MIEZKO bag
I have been very much into this asymmetric top lately, it is the closest I could find on the highstreet to my dream top.
I really like the Spain inspired look this summer. For example I paired this top with the skinny jeans and tall platform sandals. If you want to go a this way but keep it modern too, wear it with simple slingback sandals. And always add something red.

Ooh la la. I'm in Budapest. After our little get together and filming at the Hungarian design store on Thursday evening I just could not fall asleep and finally around 2-3am I ended up getting a next day ticket to my hometown.
The next morning I packed and left for the airport after a quick stop at my worstfriend's place. Having not been able to reach any of my closest relatives until 2 mins before take off I could not ask my mom to prepare my fave dish for the evening.
Most of my friends have left for festivals and family/boyfriend trips I am spending this time bonding with my parents and my good friend and designer Miklos who is luckily a regular in the Hungarian nightlife. So many new places open here all the time, amazing new bars and clubs and I never get to the end of this list.
We visited a few places, already on Friday: Meter bar where you can buy shots by the meter (a meter long plate that contains several shot glasses filled with one chosen drink) and Csendes, (means Quiet) where the interiors were nothing close to the idea of quiet-ness. I spent most of my time there looking at the walls and the ceiling discovering whats on it. Friday we were all about eating anywhere we stepped foot into. After Kolor and a walk by Resto Tokio and bar Bob (places left to discover later) on our way to Lanchid, one of Budapest's bridges where we wanted to take a walk and a few pictures; we spotted the best place. It was a pop up tech party by Kacsako Bistro, actually a pop up summer sort of outlet for a pub elsewhere by the river Danube. They made the bank side similar to the original pub by laying sand all over. We spotted it from the bridge then decided to join the party and I danced barefoot in the sand with a drink the hand :)
