CANNES OUTFIT: LA CROISETTE

ZARA top | ZARA shorts | BEBO shoes (similar here) | PRIMARK bag | MONCLER sunnies

This is my last post shot in Cannes and we decided to go down to the Promenade de la Croisette which is like the main street by the shore in Cannes. It's full of high end shops, hotels, and resto/bars on one side and on the other you have the sea and also Le Palais des Festivals et des Congres, where the Film Festival is held!

These sunglasses were a gift inside the amfAR invitation, and at first I didn't really like them because of the shape that was too small but now I think it's become one of my most fave sunnies.

CANNES OUTFIT: AMFAR GALA

OMG! So many dreams come true this week in Cannes! First of all not only did I get to visit this beautiful city, but I got to visit it during Cannes film festival which is sooo fabulous. I also got to go to a film premier and was so lucky because the tickets were a gift and the film was a funny movie... I also got to the AMFAR GALA!!!! It has been a dream of mine for some time now and it was as fab as you could imagine. I saw so many famous people, sat next to Chiara Ferragni and walked past so many icons and partied all night long. Even the invitation was so fancy, it had a booklet and a pair of Moncler (!!) sunnies in it!

The dress I am wearing is a dress I made myself specially for Cannes. Heels are from Primark and bag is Zara.

CANNES OUTFIT: CITY WALK

Hey guys, I am posting this look on our last day in Cannes because tomorrow we fly to Ibiza for the season opening week. I think my stomach will be back by then so I can enjoy the food and drinks again! Life will be so much easier, here in Cannes we had the best food, all my favourites from St Jacques to burger and couldn't not eat any of it. I was on a potato, rice, toast and carrots diet unfortunately. I can't complain because at least I could recover in an amazing place like this with the opportunity to go to events like the amfAR (without eating the delicious dinner or tasting the fantastic wines) and a film premiere (read about my first Cannes Film Festival experience here).

We shot this look a few days ago when we took a walk and a shopping tour around the center of Cannes and Eva discovered this wall with Marilyn Monroe's picture on it. After the Croisette this location is the second best way to represent Cannes in the pictures. In Cannes everyone is dressed super pretty, so I decided to wear heels with my otherwise very casual look.

Sziasztok!

Oh my god, I still can't believe I am in Cannes. I am so grateful to my friends who made this happen because visiting Cannes has been a dream of mine for so long!
Cannes is beautiful, all of the palm trees the amazing villas and the cute little streets, I just love it. Especially now that it is the Cannes Film festival here. We arrived here Monday morning after a weekend in Paris with an overnight train with sleeping cars. I must say that wasn't as fun as one would imagine especially because that afternoon I had a bad case of food poisoning that did not get better for the train journey either. I took a night train before like 10 years ago to Prague, thinking it will be so much fun and a unique experience, but I had to realize it isn't any of that. Going to Prague we were woken at every border to have our passports checked and the sleeping cars are just tiny. I thought things will be different on french trains, but really it isn't. I am terrified of flying since last summer, and every time I take a flight i am fighting my panic attack but honestly I think it is still better than being stuck on a train for this long.
The first night my friends who I came here with managed to get us in for a premiere even. The 'montée des marches' for me was just like when I first went to a fashion week. The excitement made me forget my weak body and that I didn't have any real food for the past 24 hours.
I didn't wear the dress I made because I decided to wear it when we all go to one together so I just wore a simple black dress I got in Zara I think last year.
Only the celebrities and VIPs get to get out from their cars in front of the red carpet, all others with tickets walk from the side to the red carpet, next to the crowd on the street, where they check the tickets and then you wait to be called to walk. When it is just ticket holders walking the red carpet is very crowded and you sort of rushed through. Once inside, you are guided to your seats, everything is very quick and very well organized. We were sitting in the orchestra and then it was time to watch all the rest walk in live on the screen. Last ones to walk were the director and people from the movie. We watched Inside Out and I am so glad for this because it could have been some serious, emotional movie that I wouldn't be able to sit through (I regularly walk out from movies, as I once fainted during one from all the violence and blood). After the movie I wanted to go back to the red carpet to take some outfit pictures but we couldn't it was for the film crew's photo op again but hopefully if we manage to go again, and now that we know how it works we will do it before the movie :)

WHAT I WORE & WHAT I DID IN PARIS

BERSHKA jacket (similar here) | ZARA top (similar here) | CHEAP MONDAY jeans | NIKE shoes (here) | PRIMARK shoes | JACUZZI sunnies (similar here)

Hey everyone, so here are some pictures from a daytime look shot in Paris by my friend Eva, who just started taking photos with a real camera. We had this quite good camera but none of us are really into taking pictures so when Eva discovered she is interested in learning how to use one properly I was very happy. She is a model by the way so she has some understanding of photography being on the other side of the lens and now she is developing her skills being behind it.

We had so much fun in Paris visiting really cool and unique places as well as some of the fashion exhibitions (Lanvin & Saint Laurent but unfortunatly we didn't have time to see the Gaultier exhibtion). So here is the list of the places I loved the most:

Deyrolle is a taxidermy shop founded by the Deyrolle family in Paris in 1831. Very unique and interesting place, a must visit. It is like a mini natural history museum, but so much more fun!

2 - Buly
Buly is a perfumery from the 1800's that was already once shut down and just reborn recently. The shop looks amazing, it is like walking into a different century. They sell their own perfumes, creams and other beauty accessories in really cool packaging

A vintage market in Paris must visit if you like vintage clothing, especially high end and furniture. I've seen everything from Pucci dresses to Chanel and Hermes handbangs (for 1500€ less)  to Louis Vuitton travel boxes (around 15000€). Amazing place with lots of stories and passionate and knowledgeable sales people.

Sorry about the lack of posts, we have actually shot a few looks since my last post but the weekend schedule didn't really allow me the time to go through pictures from that day.

I spent the weekend in Paris with friends at one of my dream hotels, La Maison Centralien, where I really wanted to go to because it was designed by Maison Martin Margiela. We were in Paris with Leading Cultural Destinations, and took an amazing tour around Paris. From vintage to modern design, hidden unique shops to the vintage luxury shops of the markets in Paris. I will post about it all in another post, but now here is a simple look shot back in London a few weeks ago.

Just having a busy start to the week, we are staying in London for a few more days, but it isn't about resting anymore. We have started preparing for Burning Man, that I am super excited for. I have started a mood board, with ideas of  directions, colours and themes I want to go for and this morning we went to look around in Shepherd's Bush, on Goldhawk Road for fabrics that might work for us. I also bought some fabric that I will use to make a dress for Cannes next week. I really hope it will work, because I haven't sewn anything for a few years now.

I had a bit slower weekend now, I felt very homesick after talking to all my friends from home on Friday. Hearing their voices made me realize I haven't been home for I think 2 weeks now and just living out of my suitcases made me a bit tired too. It was strange considering the fact that I have lived in London for 6 years until a year ago, and was never homesick then. I guess it's about where my base is and being away from it for too long can be a bit hard.

This week I have some vintage shopping planned, preparing suitcases for the next weeks of travels: 4 more cities with 3 different styles of wardrobe I guess.

I had very little time before I left for a month so we couldn't prepare enough outfit posts with my super photographer and Bff, Judit. We have some that I'll post soon but until then, I'll just try to shoot my outfit somehow. These will be less photographic but I want the blog to be updated with enough inspo for you!
I got this gingham dress in the H&M sale not long ago, not very much my style but the boots and the leather jacket give it an edge I felt comfortable with!

When I first looked at these funny sandals in Primark and I thought, oh my god, ridiculous. The more I looked at them, the more I thought they were funny and wanted them. I actually remember I really hated wearing these sort of jelly shoes when I was a child, but I had to, to avoid stepping into spiky things under the water in Croatia. What do you think?

You can get now in many stores from super cheap to Topshop to high end like Sophia Webster.
